The Royal Wedding Hat Extravaganza

So after watching "The Royal Wedding" today, I can't stop thinking about the Fascinating/ bizarre HATS!!! I mean they're showing hats with feathers, hats with flowers, hats with massive bows, brims....hats that make you wonder how in the hell it's able to even stay ontop of the head without toppling over...

The Legendary milliner Philip Treacy Definitely ruled the Mad Hatter Crown in the Royal house along with another fascinator in the mix Jess Collett who is probably going to be making it huge in the headlines this week for the wedding hats that she created as well in the party.

I swear I learn something new everyday. Forgive me for I had failed to make note of the site I read this info from but I had just learned that apparently some time ago miliners once used mercury to starch hats to give them their form. The rumor was mercury made the hat makers crazy when spilled AND THATS where the term "Mad Hatter" came from.

First attempt to create my own model clay skull....Donkey Shit! I'm getting super Frustrated.

Sugar Skull...Day 2.

I'm thinking about buying glitter paints for the inside of the eyes and then it's either a spider web that will be placed ontop of the skull or a rose. ehhh iono. I've been taking my sweet time on this one because someone made the skull itself for me. I don't want to rush into doing "something" with it and ruin it but i can't wait for it to be done either....ahhhh.

Nerving, but so far so good.

The sugar skull I have on my keychain now looks so haggard and the man heard my cries a week ago about how lousy it looked and decided to mold and bake this clay skull for me while my back was turned trying to update our facebook page...

(sigh) I feel so loved.
I can't wait to paint and decorate it!!!
